TipPool
  1. A bartender pouring a drink at a neon-lit bar

Tip-outs, done before the lights go off.

TipPool collects a restaurant's tips, splits them by the house rules to the cent, and pays the whole team through PayPal, the same night.

  2. A barista tying on her apron before the shift

The team clocks in from their own phone.

Everyone gets a private page: clock in and out, see their tips and how they were worked out. The close-out fills itself in.

  3. A guest paying by phone at a café counter

A QR code on every table.

Guests tip with PayPal or Venmo in their own language. No app, no account. Card-machine and cash tips join at close-out.

  4. A bartender pouring a drink under neon light

Your rules, in plain words. Split to the cent.

“Bar gets 20%, bussers 10%, servers by hours.” AI reads it and warns if a rule breaks tip law. The money is counted in code, and every share says why.

  5. A manager on her phone at a restaurant table in the evening

“Close out tonight, add $40 cash and pay everyone.”

One sentence becomes a plan you confirm once. The AI can stop a payout, never start one.

  6. A server smiling at her phone

    One payout pays everyone.

One PayPal batch to everyone's PayPal or Venmo, checked first. It runs as a Render Workflow that retries on its own and never pays twice.

  7. Chairs up on the tables at closing time

See a whole shift paid out in two minutes.

The details

Everything a tipped team needs, in one place.

For restaurants, bars, cafés, salons and hotels: anyone who shares tips as a team, or pays them out to the person who earned them.

For guests

Tipping takes ten seconds.

  • One QR code per table, on cards, stickers or the receipt
  • PayPal or Venmo, with no app and no account to make
  • The page speaks their language (7 languages)
  • Tip the whole team, or one person by name

For the team

Paid the same night, and they can see why.

  • Clock in and out from their own phone
  • Their share, with a sentence explaining it
  • Paid to the PayPal or Venmo they confirmed themselves
  • Something wrong? Flag it, and that shift isn't paid automatically

For owners and managers

The close-out, without the spreadsheet.

  • House rules in plain words, with warnings about tip law
  • An AI check of every shift before money moves
  • Several locations, managers and shift leads, a live board
  • An approval limit, an emergency freeze, reports and CSV for payroll

Safe with money

Built so a payout can't go wrong quietly.

  1. Amounts are counted in code. The AI explains and checks; it never decides who gets what.
  2. Never paid twice. Every payout has one fixed id, and a retry sends the very same request.
  3. The AI can stop a payout, never start one. Every action waits for a person to confirm it.
  4. Locked down. Two-step sign-in, encrypted keys, and every business sees only its own data.

Questions

Do the staff need a PayPal account?

They need PayPal or Venmo to receive money. If someone doesn't have one yet, PayPal holds their payout for 30 days, and the manager can remind them or send it somewhere else.

What about card-machine and cash tips?

The manager adds the card-machine and cash totals at close-out, so the whole day's tips are shared, not only the ones paid by QR.

Is pooling tips like this legal?

Tip pooling is common, but the rules differ by place. TipPool warns about known problems, such as managers taking from the pool, which US federal law doesn't allow. Check your local rules too.

What does the AI actually do?

It reads your rules, explains each share, checks each shift for anything odd, and answers questions from your own numbers. It never sets an amount, and nothing it suggests happens until you confirm.

What if PayPal has a problem in the middle of a payout?

The payout runs as a Render Workflow that tries again on its own, always with the same request, which PayPal never pays twice. If PayPal says no, nobody is paid and you're told why.

Is the demo real?

It uses the real PayPal APIs with PayPal's sandbox (test) money, so you can tip, split and pay without any real money moving.
